Scott Family Amazeum 10th Anniversary: Youth Sticker Design Contest

Calling all creative students in NWA! Are you ready to make your mark and help celebrate the wonder of the Scott Family Amazeum? We're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for ages 6-19 with a passion for creativity and curiosity. We're on the lookout for a fresh, innovative design to commemorate our tenth birthday on July 15, 2025, and we want YOU to be a part of it!

The winning designer will:

  • Have their sticker printed and sold as a featured spotlight in our store, Curiosity Corner
  • $100 cash prize
  • Free admission to an upcoming workshop
  • Behind the scenes tour of our Fabrication Shop
  • Have a one-on-one session with our graphic designer to learn tips and tricks of professional design to finalize sticker before printing

Amazeum Brand Standards:

Please reference our brand standards for direction and guidelines on our visual communication. We do suggest following the requirements when designing.

Contest Rules:

    • All entrants to the contest must be aged 6-19
    • State: Arkansas (This contest is limited to students within a 60-mile radius of the Amazeum)

Entry Deadline: 5/2/2025 at Midnight

  • Requirements: Original Artwork

Submission info:

  • Submission should be a sketch of the design you have in mind, sketches are due by midnight on May 2nd, 2025
  • The design may include the Amazeum logo and/or Zing but is not required.
  • You must include your name, age, grade, and school with your submission.
  • Sketches must be submitted to any of the following:
    • The Scott Family Amazeum via email to: KKay@amazeum.org
    • Dropped off at the Admission Kiosk at the Amazeum
    • By mail to 1009 Museum Way, Bentonville, AR 72712 ATTN: Kimberly Kay

 

All entrants to the contest must have agreed to these rules before participating in the contest. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses. The prize must be collected by the winner and is non-transferable. 

The top three artists will be able to finalize their designs and will receive a $25 reward upon being selected. Finalists will be announced on May 23rd, 2025.
Please note finalists will be required to submit final designs two weeks after finalists are announced. Final designs will be required to be sent in a digital format. Don’t know how to convert your design? Amazeum team members will work with finalists to help them create the digital design.
When creating your design, consider:
  • How can you celebrate your favorite Amazeum exhibit, experience, and/or memory in an illustration or design?  What color palettes, symbols, or images evoke curiosity, creativity, and community to you?
  • When you are in our creative environment, how do you feel? What colors, symbols, or images represent that feeling?

 

FAQ

Can I submit a collaborative entry?

Collaborative entries should use the name of your local group. Should a collaborative entry win, the submitting group will be awarded the same prize and is responsible for determining how the prize will be shared within the group.

How many designs can I submit?

You can submit up to three designs, each design must be submitted separately. 

What will the design be judged on?

  • Concept/originality
  • Captures the Amazeum Impact Statement
    • “Human beings are questioning machines. We actively explore the world around us, try new things and experiences in our own personal learning quests. The Amazeum will foster powerful moments for individuals and the community that engage them in building relationships with each other, and developing identities as confident, creative, curious, and innovative shapers of their world.”
  • Striking and memorable design
  • Visibility – eye-catching and visible from a reasonable distance 
  • Feasibility/must be easy to reproduce
