Welcoming J.R. Thomas as Membership Manager at the Scott Family Amazeum
The Scott Family Amazeum is thrilled to welcome J.R.Thomas as our new Membership Manager! With a rich background in operations, community engagement, and strategic leadership, J.R. is a natural fit for a role focused on deepening connections with our member families and enhancing their experience.
In this role, J.R. will lead efforts to grow and retain our vibrant member community. He’ll oversee member services, design engagement strategies, and collaborate across departments to ensure every visit feels welcoming and meaningful. His mix of operational expertise and passion for people makes him a powerful addition to the team.
Before joining the Amazeum, J.R. served as Vice President of Programs and Operations at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC, where he led high-impact teams, built strategic partnerships, and advanced global DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) initiatives. His previous work in Birmingham, Chicago, and military service further reflect his deep commitment to service and inclusive leadership.
