All you need is some paper, a little time, and maybe a few practice runs. Watch and follow along as our Programs Educator, Ashley Gaboury, makes fun origami heart rings. Let's get started!
Step 1: Start with a piece of origami paper that is 10 cm by 10 cm.
Step 2: Fold the paper in half both ways (vertically and horizontally).
Step 3: Fold the paper into thirds. Take the bottom of the paper and fold towards the center line. Then fold the top of the paper towards the center line.
Step 4: Unfold the paper. Take the bottom piece and fold it to the fold line directly above it.
Step 5: Unfold the paper. Take the bottom piece and fold it to the fold line that is second from the top of the paper.
Step 6: Repeat steps 4 and 5 again.
Step 7: Fold down the bottom flap and turn the paper over to the other side with the folded edge of the paper facing towards you.
Step 8: Take the corners along the folded edge and fold them up to the middle crease while creasing the edges.
Step 9: Take the triangle tip of the paper and fold it up to the third line in the center of the paper.
Step 10: Turn the paper over. Slide your finger under one of the flaps and fold it upwards. Repeat this step for the other flap.
Step 11: Take each of the corners and fold them down towards the middle of the paper.
Step 12: Take the extra flaps and fold them under.
Step 13: Fold the bottom edge of the paper up towards the middle three times.
Step 14: Bend and adjust the ring to slide one end of the ring into the pocket on the other side. Your ring is now complete!
