Exp&ing Futures: Dreaming Big at the Amazeum

What does the future look like at the Scott Family Amazeum? It’s bigger, brighter, and filled with even more opportunities to spark creativity, curiosity, and connection. That’s the vision behind Exp&ing Futures, our $25 million capital campaign designed to transform the Amazeum’s campus and programs in exciting new ways.

Since we first opened our doors, the Amazeum has been a place where imaginations can run wild and learning happens through play. Now, we’re taking that to the next level. We’re dreaming big—not just for us, but for our community, our region, and generations of future learners. Here’s what we’re planning to do.

Building Bigger Dreams

The Exp&ing Futures campaign is all about growth—literally and figuratively. It’s about creating new spaces and opportunities to inspire wonder and exploration. Some of the highlights of this ambitious project include:

• A Bigger, Better Early Learner Education Center
  Our littlest learners deserve the best start, and this expanded space will offer just that. From interactive exhibits to hands-on activities, it’s designed to ignite creativity and a love of learning in children under 6. Play is at the heart of early development, fostering problem-solving, social skills, and curiosity. This center will emphasize the critical role of play in building foundational skills that support lifelong learning.
• An Outdoor Playscape That Wows
  Think beyond the traditional playground. Imagine a dynamic outdoor space where kids and families can explore, climb, and play while connecting with nature. It’s all about blending physical activity with curiosity and teamwork.
• More Room to Create and Celebrate
  We know our community loves coming together for events, workshops, and celebrations. With new versatile spaces, we’ll be able to host even more innovative programming for kids, adults, and families.

Why It Matters

Since the beginning, the Amazeum has been more than just a children’s museum. It’s a place where creativity takes center stage, where families connect, and where young minds are inspired to dream big. As Northwest Arkansas grows, so does the need for spaces that foster these connections.

“This campaign is about saying, ‘Yes, &…’ to every possibility,” says Amazeum CEO Sam Dean. “It’s about creating a future full of innovation, inclusivity, and inspiration for our community.”

Exp&ing Futures is our answer to that call. It’s a way to ensure the Amazeum stays at the heart of our region’s growth, offering unforgettable experiences for all ages and abilities.
